REV BRIAN D BAKER
Pastor
As a child Brian desired to know the peace that comes from knowing you and God are OK. He saw people with that peace and felt like if he could just have what they had... At age 22, as he studied music at Sam Houston, he had an experience with God that changed that and he had to share it with everyone he met. He received a music degree, began teaching school, and became pastor of a church. God continues to bless the church with the gift of music through Pastor Brian as he leads us in praise and worship.
REVÂ DR HENRY O ALLOWAY, PHD
Pastor Emeritus
In Memorium
1930-2013
Doctor of Theology
Brother Henry served the Lord as a minister for 63 years. He was a Methodist minister until he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Because of his experience and conviction concerning the gifts of the Holy Spirit he left the Methodist ministry and started a non-denominational church...    The Church of the Saviour.
He authored, "It All Began in Slate Valley" and "Focus on the Family". None of the books he wrote were sold, but all were given away. Many copies of the latter can be found throughout Texas prisons.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
It is our pleasure to bring to you a few teachings from our ministers. Please browse the titles and articles below to gain an understanding of the depth of commitment we look for in ourselves and encourage in our members.
THE CHRIST OF CHRISTMAS
Rev. Dr Henry O Alloway, Jr, PhD.
"Daddy, Orville and I will understand if we don't get anything for Christmas, so if you thought about getting us anything, I wonder if you could just take that money and get something nicer for Glenn, since this will be the first Christmas he'll know anything about."
You can bet that kind of question gets to the heart of a father who cares.
MODERNÂ LETTERS TO SAINT PAUL'S
Dr. Reverend Henry O. Alloway
In 63 years of ministry, roughly half of those years Reverend Alloway ministered in the Methodist church and had the experience of ministering to different parishes along the Gulf coast from Texas to Louisiana. Here locally in Conroe, is where he eventually put down roots and founded a church. During his time at St Paul's United Methodist Church he wrote, "Modern Letters to Saint Paul's". They are a collection of around 40 letters that we have published here for you to read, receive the Word of God, and be blessed!
